Take Line 4 to Myeongdong Station (exits 5–8 lead into the shopping streets) or Line 2 to Euljiro 1-ga Station for Lotte and the north end. For Namdaemun Market, use Hoehyeon Station (Line 4). From Incheon Airport, take AREX to Seoul Station and change to Line 4 — Myeongdong is two stops. Plan it with our subway route finder.
Take Seoul Subway Line 4 to Myeongdong Station. Exits 5 to 8 open onto the shopping streets. Line 2 Euljiro 1-ga Station is a short walk from the north end.
For a first visit, yes. It is central, has many hotels, and is two subway stops from Seoul Station, where the airport train arrives.

Most stores open between 10 and 11 am and close around 10 pm. Some restaurants, like Hadongkwan and Isaac Toast, open at 7 am.
